The application process takes place in three stages, starting with placing the initial braces, followed by a stage of regular periodic adjustments that aim to realign the teeth, and ending with the use of retainers after removing the braces.

Orthodontics is characterized by rare damage, but the dentist must be informed when it occurs, such as pain that lasts for 5-7 days, tooth decay, tooth erosion in some cases due to metal braces for braces, and swollen gums.
